The USF Department of Social Work offers an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Social Welfare and the Baccalaureate of Social Work (BSW) degree. The BSW program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

Both of our programs (AA & BSW) are built on a strong liberal arts base that is rooted in Franciscan values. These values are reflected in the commitment of our faculty members to deliver high quality curriculum and field experiences for students. Franciscan values are integrated into all aspects of our courses.

Both programs are unique in that we offer substantial emphasis on issues pertaining to refugee and immigrant populations. Through our courses and extracurricular activities, we offer many experiential opportunities for students to expand their understanding of issues that reach across and between countries, continents and peoples.
We are eager to share with you about our program! Please contact us if you would like more information or would like to schedule a visit to our department.
