Student usernames are typically the last name followed by the first initial and middle initial. To verify your username, check the back of your OneCard. The username is the first part before @studentmail.sf.edu.

What username and password do I use for which account?
At USF, you will have your Cougar Connection account and your USF account. Cougar Connection uses your student ID number and PIN while everything else uses your USF username and password.

How long will my login and email account be active after I graduate?
Currently, the policy for student email accounts is that they are provided as long as the person is a registered student. Upon graduation, we set the expiration of the accounts to the last day of September of the year following the current term. If you graduate during the Spring semester, then your account will be disabled September 30.

How do I reset my password from off campus?
Faculty, staff, and students will need to first enroll his or her account in the ANIXIS Password Reset tool. By enrolling your account, you'll be able to unlock, change and reset your password from any computer with an internet connection.

How often do passwords need changed?
Cougar Connection PIN is not set to expire, but your USF account password will expire every 180 days. It is recommended that you enroll your account in ANIXIS to manage your password.
