Case Management
In situations when students are unable to attend class AND unable to contact their instructors with regard to their situation (typically emergency situations) SASS will make the initial contact with faculty. The student contacts or gets information to SASS with regard to the situation. A SASS staff member will then contact the student's instructors. After the initial contact the student will be expected to communicate with his/her instructors. In some situations, particularly serious situations, SASS may make additional contact however these situations are rare.
Also, it is important to note this is NOT an attendance service and regular illnesses, funeral absences, etc. should be communicated directly to instructors.
