Phi Alpha International Honor Society
The Phi Alpha International Honor Society promotes humanitarian goals and ideals while building closer bonds among social work students. The University of Saint Francis Social Work Department sponsors the Sigma Eta Chapter of Phi Alpha.
The highest honor a social work student may achieve is becoming a Phi Alpha International Honor Society member. To do so, the student must have:
- A grade point average of 3.25 in all social work courses and 3.0 in an overall grade point average.
- Been fully admitted to the social work program.
- Demonstrated a commitment to the purpose, mission, values, and goals of the social work profession through a dedication to serve humanity.
Once a student has been inducted into the Phi Alpha Society, the student may apply for Phi Alpha scholarships. For additional information, please see http://www.phialpha.org/news.htm.
