In 2009, the program was granted the maximum accreditation of 8 years by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). This is the third consecutive time the program has been granted the maximum award.
Program effectiveness data is available at www.jrcert.org.
The program effectiveness measures for 2013, with a graduating class of 17 students, are as follows: Program completion - 74%; Job Placement - 100%; and Credentialing exam pass rate - 100%. This is updated annually in July.
The following is an explanation of each of these program measures:
Completion Rate - This is the number of students that begin the program divided by the number of students that actually complete the program. It is measured annually.
Credentialing Examination Pass Rate - This is the number of students that pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination on the first attempt.
Job Placement Rate - This currently is the percentage of graduates who are employed within six months of graduation. Students who do not update the program on employment status, return to school full time, do not wish to relocate or do not respond to surveys are not required to be included in the calculations.
These program measures will be changing slightly with the implementation of new Standards in December, 2013.
