Psychology Club

The USF Psychology Club is a new student-led organization for undergraduate and graduate psychology students. It exists to:

  • To promote study in the field of psychology.
  • To support and explore future career and education possibilities in the field.
  • To integrate classroom education with real world experience in the community.
  • To promote campus and community involvement, including fund raising, outreach, and volunteer services.
  • To create a network of graduate students committed to providing mentorship of undergraduate students who share a common commitment to Psychology.
  • To facilitate an open forum for discussion about psychology, providing students with an environment that fosters individual uniqueness and equality for all.

Besides professional development activities such as sessions on preparing a Vitae and taking the GRE, the Psychology Club also provides opportunities for its members to give back to their communities through fundraising activities, such as adopting an underprivileged family and sending cards to nursing homes. The Psychology Club also plans to participate in poster sessions and other psychology-related events in the future. For information about the Psychology Club or its activities, contact Dr. John Brinkman at 399-7700 ext. 8425 or via e-mail at jbrinkman@sf.edu.
