Dr. John Bequette
Dr. Bequette teaches courses in Church History, Christian Spirituality, and the Holocaust. He earned his Ph.D. from St. Louis University in historical theology, where he wrote his dissertation on the Vita Prima Sancti Francisci by Thomas of Celano. His research interests include medieval Christian thought (lives of the saints, the monastic tradition) and Christian humanism. He has published articles in the American Benedictine Review, the Cistercian Studies Quarterly, Crisis magazine, and other periodicals. His latest book is Rhetoric in the Monastic Tradition: A Textual Study (Peter Lang, 2012).
