Irene Gut Opdyke: Righteous Among the Nations

Join Jeannie Opdyke Smith as she tells the story of her mother, Irene Gut Opdyke. A Polish Catholic during World War II, she rescued Jews during the Holocaust. Decades later she was named by the Israeli Holocaust Commission as one of the Righteous Among the Nations.

This free public lecture is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Fort Wayne and hosted by the Department of Philosophy and Theology and the School of Arts and Sciences of the University of Saint Francis.
