Operations Mission Statement

To assist all members of the campus community in the process of providing students with a quality education through the promotion, implementation and maintenance of facilities and policies that provide a safe, clean, comfortable, and aesthetic environment.

The Operations Department includes the following five divisions:

Operations personnel maintain 107 plus acres of ground; 5,000 square feet of drives and parking areas, with a capacity of 1700 plus vehicles; and 27 buildings containing nearly ½ million square feet of space.

The Operations Department is located in the lower level of Trinity Hall, below the food service area. To locate our offices, please use the south door along the service drive or the door nearest the loading dock on the rear of building. Our main office number is 399-7700 ext 6107.

The department facilitates and covers all work necessary to maintain proper functioning, cleanliness of the campus, and safety of persons and property on a scheduled basis, in keeping with our allowable budget and personnel. The workload of the department is designed to utilize each and every hour a member of the department is on duty. The department does not normally maintain standby personnel, but if an emergency arises, personnel will be called from routinely scheduled work. It is highly desirable to anticipate needs in advance to affect the most efficient understanding, planning and completion of work.

Work requests and preventative maintenance are scheduled via an internal work order system. Please do not ask our staff members to take verbal or email requests. For emergency requests only (e.g. broken water pipes, etc.) please call 399-7000, extension 6106 or 6113. During off hours or if no answer, call Security personnel at 399-7888.
