USF asking friends to support license plate purchase
April 16, 2014 FORT WAYNE, Ind. - University of Saint Francis specialty license plates generate funding for student scholarships, and USF is asking its friends and fans for support.
The Bureau of Motor Vehicles sends a portion of the USF specialty license plate purchase to the USF Alumni Endowed Scholarship, which benefits students. USF needs to reach 500 plates on the road to continue its 2014 scholarship program, and needs alumni, friends and fans to purchase 135 more plates by the end of the year to reach that goal.
USF students have benefitted from the BMV license plate program since 2007. Alumni Endowed Scholarships assist students who may not be able to attend college otherwise. They support the university’s Franciscan values of reverence for individuals’ dignity and service to one another, society and the church.
The license plates themselves support the university’s mission, values and programs.
To purchase a specialty USF license plate, order online at mybmv.com or at your local license branch. For more information, contact Director of Alumni Relations Jessica Swinford at firstname.lastname@example.org or 260.399.8032.
