Interdisciplinary panel discussing Dr. King’s views at USF
Jan. 2, 2012 FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s views on unions and labor will be explored during “King and Labor: The Memphis Sanitation Workers’ Strike,” a discussion by an interdisciplinary panel, at the University of Saint Francis on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m. in the Brookside Ballroom.
Assistant Professor of Political Science Dr. Thomas Schneider, Assistant Professor of Philosophy Dr. Lewis Pearson and Assistant Professor of Economics Dr. D. Marshall Meador will guide the discussion, giving perspectives from their different disciplines.
The roundtable discussion, sponsored by the university’s School of Arts and Sciences, will celebrate King’s life and contributions as part of the university’s annual “Acting on a Dream…A Day On, Not a Day Off” Martin Luther King Jr. observance.
