USF offering online Master of Organizational Leadership at new affordable online tuition rate

Dec. 16, 2013 FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The University of Saint Francis is introducing a new online Master of Organizational Leadership in January to support the development of professionals from a variety of fields.

The degree will refine the leadership and skills needed to compete in industries demonstrably experiencing change and growth, and will be offered at a new competitive online tuition rate.

The degree draws upon the expertise of the Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership. Students will learn theories informing the issues and best practices of respective fields and engage in practical experiences to make them more effective leaders.

Candidates can concentrate upon non-profit organization or higher education, which are unique to the USF program, as well as healthcare services and for-profit organization, depending upon career goals. These concentrations represent areas with vigorous job markets, according to fact-based trends in employment and business.

The online format provides the flexibility working professionals need as they hone leadership skills to advance in the workplace.

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher with minimum 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale from a regionally accredited institution. Those with GPA below 2.75 with less than five years professional experience must take the graduate management admission test (GMAT) for university review. Applicants with five or more years’ experience can submit a resume.

An online application, official transcript (sent directly to the Office of Admission from an institution’s registrar) for bachelor degree or higher and letter expressing professional goals are necessary for admission.

"The University of Saint Francis is pleased to offer this Master of Organizational Leadership at a new competitive rate in a convenient format for working professionals," said President Sister M. Elise Kriss, OSF. "Leading by example is a strong tenet of the university, and this provides an opportunity to send leaders of impact into the community to serve."

The University of Saint Francis, founded in 1890 as a comprehensive university in the Catholic Franciscan tradition, offers more than 60 undergraduate and 14 graduate programs in five schools: The School of Health Sciences, School of Arts and Sciences, Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership, School of Professional Studies and School of Creative Arts.
