Requirements
The following requirements apply to the MSN Nursing Transition program (RN-MSN).
- Meet general admission standards for graduate education at the University of Saint Francis
- Hold an associates degree in nursing or diploma RN
- Hold a current license as a registered nurse
- Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
- Satisfactorily completed the following prerequisite courses: Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, English Composition I, Introduction to Psychology, Growth & Development
- Submit a résumé or curriculum vitae
- Submit three letters of reference
- Students with a GPA below a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale must take the GRE (Gradaute Record Exam)
- Complete and submit the USF MSN Essay (Written Goals). The MSN Essay should be typed, 1-2 pages in length, double-spaced, APA format and address the following question: How have you contributed to the profession of nursing? Please include presentations, publications, mentoring, evidence-based practice, leadership roles, committee participation, and role in professional organizations.
- Complete RN-MSN Admission Interview (Personal Interview)
