Master of Science in Nursing Transition Program

The demand for advanced practice nurses who are independent and collaborate with other health care professionals has grown.

Requirements

The following requirements apply to both the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Community and Health Education tracks.

  • Meet general admission standards for graduate education at the University of Saint Francis
  • Hold an associates degree in nursing or diploma RN
  • Hold a current license as a registered nurse
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
  • Satisfactorily complete a graduate or undergraduate statistics course within the last five years
  • Submit a résumé or curriculum vitae
  • Submit three letters of reference
  • Complete and submit the USF RN-MSN Essay (Written Goals). The MSN Essay should be typed, 1-2 pages in length and address the following questions: (1) what are your professional goals? and (2) how will a graduate degree impact your nursing practice?
