Office of Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid administers financial aid from federal, state, institutional, and private resources according to the Federal guidelines provided by the U.S. Department of Education. The university works with students and families in determining available funds to help meet the cost of education at the University of Saint Francis.

In order to make Scholarship information more accessible to all USF students, outside scholarships will be posted on this page as they are received. This information was formerly available in Trinity Hall.

National Health Service Corps

The NHSC LRP is administered by the Bureau of Clinician Recruitment and Service (BCRS) in the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The NHSC LRP recruits fully-trained primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, certified nurse-midwives, physician assistants, dentists, dental hygienists, and behavioral and mental health providers to provide culturally competent, interdisciplinary primary health care services to underserved populations located in selected Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) identified by the Secretary of HHS. HPSAs can be found in rural and urban communities across the nation. In return, the NHSC LRP assists clinicians in their repayment of outstanding qualifying educational loans.

Indiana Federation Northeast Indiana Business & Professional Women Scholarship

This scholarship is a one-time award to a female, 25 years or older, residing in DeKalb, Noble or Steuben County (Indiana) wishing to start (or continue) a higher education leading to a certificate, two-year, or four-year degree. This scholarship is open to any field of study. Applicant’s reasons for postponing or returning to higher education will be taken into consideration. Financial need will be a strong factor in the selection process. Applicant must also:

The Grahame & Thelma Somerville Scholarship

This scholarship is for Non-Traditional students seeking an undergraduate degree only.

Melvin Waltz Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for male nursing students but female nursing studnets may apply. A female nursing student may be awarded if no male nursing students qualify for the scholarship. This is a need based scholarship.

This scholarship progam is offering 40 $1000 scholarships.  

Delta Sigma Kappa Sororiry, Iota Chapter

This $500 scholarship is for young woman who have completed at least one year of college and has demonstated ambition and self-drive in her previous college year (s). The student must have determination to set and reach goals, must have respect for self, family and community, and the ablility to succeed in college. The recipient should be a high achiever in academics who demonstrates leadership, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and have financial need.

B. Davis Scholarship

This scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post-secondary institution. You will need to write an essay of less than 1000 words on "How your education has contributed to who you are today, or how it will affect who you will become.
