Global Business Travel

Today, all businesses compete in a global arena where speed, agility, and cultural savvy shape core competencies and competitive advantages of companies. Even small companies in rural locations have begun to experience, directly or indirectly, the impact of globalization upon the supply of, and demand for, their products and services.

In an era when quality, price, agility and speed-to-market are shaped increasingly by international events, it is imperative that business students become comfortable with cultures and ways of living that differ from their own. Already businesses have begun to utilize work groups that consist of inter-national teams working together in the same virtual or physical space.

To function efficiently, effectively, and respectfully as members of such trans-national teams, it is imperative that business professionals expand their knowledge of, and ease-of-comfort with global cultures.

Our goal, through global business travel, is to broaden the lenses through which students receive information and draw conclusions about the world in which they live and conduct business. We encourage all students to take advantage of our international business travel, especially those that explore emerging market economies around the world.
