The Department of Biology currently offers bachelor's degrees in Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology, Environmental Science, Pre-medical, and Pre-professional (Pre-dentistry, pre-pharmacy, pre-physical therapy, pre-physician assistant, and pre-veterinary). An early-entry Physician Assitant program is also available for qualified students. See our majors and requirements page for more information about specific programs.
Undergraduates may participate with faculty in real-world research into areas of biology including reproductive physiology, molecular biology, and aquatic ecology, to name a few. Projects can count toward graduation, and are designated BIOL 496 in the USF Catalog.
Minors in biology and environmental science are also available.
