Clare Hall If you are looking for a room that isn’t like the traditional dorms, then the suite-style living of Clare Hall will interest you. Built in 2009, Clare Hall is the newest of the 3 dorms on campus and offers a non-traditional room set up compared to traditional community-style dorm rooms. When you initially walk into your 10 x 20 foot room, you will notice that it is set up in a basic configuration, complete with 2 beds, dressers, bookshelves, and desks. But don’t think that this is the way it has to stay. Furniture and decorations can be set up in a variety of ways to make your room go from bland to bold. Stackable beds can be configured as standard bunks, or in an L-shape, leaving plenty of space for a futon and mini-fridge so you can make your room more of an entertainment area. All rooms also come equipped with internet connectivity, as well as cable TV hookup. In addition to dressers, rooms also have closet space for you to hang clothes and use for storage. Each 2 room suite is connected by a private bathroom, complete with dual sinks and vanities, as well as a private shower and toilet. Each floor has a main lounge that has a small computer lab and kitchenette area with a microwave. There are plenty of couches tables and chairs, as well as a flat screen tv that you can use to hook up your Xbox, Wii, or Playstation. Laundry facilities are also off the main lounge, complete with washers and dryers. At the end of each floor, there is a study area with tables and comfortable chairs. Great for those days when you don’t want to study in your room, but still want to go somewhere quiet. If you are looking to have a room that is a bit more like home, then the suite-style living of Clare Hall is the place for you.
