Masters of Arts in Theology

The Master of Arts (MA) in Theology offered by the University of Saint Francis School of Liberal Arts is designed for students intending to pursue a career in higher education by earning a doctorate in theology or for those interested in pastoral applications such as youth ministry, religious education or teaching.

The program reflects the commitment of USF to the faith and teachings of the Catholic Church. It is unique to the variety of specializations represented by the faculty.

Admission Requirements
Prospective students must have a bachelor's degree with a strong liberal arts component and preferably some coursework in theology, and an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.

The degree consists of 36 graduate credit hours, consisting of 30 hours of required courses and 6 electives.
