Adam DeVille's teaching, writing, and editorial work focus on the Orthodox Christian East (both Byzantine and non-Byzantine), with an especial focus on issues of ecclesiology and ecumenism--particularly the papacy. He is the editor of the international trilingual *Logos: A Journal of Eastern Christian Studies* which publishes leading peer-reviewed scholarship from across the globe. He is the author of *Orthodoxy and the Roman Papacy*, forthcoming in 2010 from the University of Notre Dame Press, and the author of over 100 articles and reviews in dozens of journals around the world. He has a book under contract with T&T Clark of London tentatively titled "Sexual Differentiation and the Christian East: Sources Ancient and Modern." He teaches a range of theology and religion courses, including those on iconography and the encounter between Eastern Christian and Muslim communities from the 7th century to today.
