On Saturday, November 12, Theology and Franciscan Studies instructor Sister Anita Holzmer, OSF, accompanied USF Marketing Director Trois Hart to the 12th Annual “Diamonds and Denim” Fundraising Gala for Lima Central Catholic High School (LCC) in Lima, Ohio. Held at the Shawnee Country Club in Lima, the event afforded Director Hart and Sister Anita the opportunity to become acquainted with the high school’s leadership as well as the many supporters among its school family and the local community.
In his first year as LCC’s president, Walter Klimanski invited the two University of Saint Francis representatives to the event because his own son is a USF alumnus, and he wants LCC students to have the opportunity to consider USF as a viable choice for higher education. Good connections have been forged with this fine Catholic high school, and it is hoped that vigorous recruiting will bring many more LCC graduates to USF.
