18 credit hours of SOCI courses. SOCI 101, 250, and either 302 or 430 plus 9 credits of SOCI electives (6 of which must be 300-level or above).
The minor in sociology is intended for any student interested in employing the sociological imagination in their understanding of society. Students will be well grounded in sociological theories, methods of inquiry and data analysis tools. The upper-division focus of new minor is inspired by the values embodied in both the Franciscan tradition and the sociological approach to the issues of individual dignity, peace and social justice, community service, and environmental reverence.
