If you are interested in fields of study typically associated with the Liberal Arts, such as History, English or Philosophy, you may be eligible for a Liberal Arts scholarship from the School of Arts and Sciences, just for taking a brief exam! To register for the exam applicants must be seniors in high school with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 and have applied and been accepted to one of the following School of Arts and Sciences liberal arts academic programs at the University of Saint Francis: English, History, Ministry, Philosophy, Political Science/Pre-Law, Sociology, or Theology.
Typically administered in February, the Liberal Arts Scholarship exam is a 90-minute multiple choice exam comprised of questions designed to elicit a high school senior’s general knowledge of American and European History and Literature, American Government and Social Science. The exam will be graded by members of the Arts and Sciences faculty. Scholarships are tuition scholarships and are renewable for four consecutive years. The scholarship recipient must sustain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and remain enrolled full time in one of the aforementioned School of Arts and Sciences liberal arts academic majors.
