The School of Arts and Sciences (SoAS) is one of five academic schools that comprise the University of Saint Francis. Encompassing the Biology, Chemistry, English and Foreign Languages, Health and Physical Education, History and Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Philosophy and Theology departments, SoAS offers a broad array of majors taught by highly-skilled and dedicated faculty. Within the school you will find the following courses of study:
SoAS is also the home for both the Honors Program, which affords students an opportunity for a more enriching college experience emphasizing Franciscan values, and the Center for Franciscan Spirit and Life, fostering the Franciscan way and promoting the lives of Saint Francis and Saint Clare.
The Academic Exploration program for first year students unsure of a major is part of SoAS. Students are advised and guided through a curriculum of university required courses while exploring fields of study that interest them. This program keeps students on track for a timely graduation even without a selected major.
