Studio Art - Sculpture

The Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art prepares students for positions in Studio Arts related job markets. A degree in Studio Arts also gives students all the necessary skills to succeed in graduate study. The Bachelor of Arts Studio Art program, with a concentration in Sculpture features a sound traditional arts core curriculum and 18 extra hours in Sculpture.

Mary Klopfer welding artwork The Studio Art concentration in Sculpture boasts a large indoor and outdoor studio area. The sculpture lab houses equipment for making wood, stone, metal, mold-making and clay-based projects. There is a separate plaster room and stone-carving area as well as one of the few bronze and aluminum casting foundry facilities in the area. Small and large-scale artwork can be accommodated in two studio areas and a large outdoor sculpting patio.

Welders, air supplies, sand blasting equipment and hoists are a few items that make this facility outstanding and user-friendly. Ventilation, overhead doors, and storage support this area.

This program is designed to provide opportunities for in class projects as well as individual exploration.
