Studio Art - Painting
The Studio Art concentration in Painting allows for study in a wide range of mediums including: oil, acrylic, watercolor and airbrush on a variety of surfaces and in sizes from miniature to mural. This program is designed to provide opportunities for in class projects as well as individual, creative explorations.
The painting studio has large windows, concrete floors for easy clean-up, and walls that retain the original brick of the building's structure before it was refurbished.
The studio also has state-of-the-art ventilation and exhaust systems. As many as fifteen airbrushes can be accommodated on the compressed airline which feeds into the studio. Directly over the airbrush station is another exhaust system to pick up paint fumes and particles.
The Painting concentration is supported by both fulltime and adjunct faculty, giving students the opportunity to study with a number of experienced professors with a variety of specialty areas.
