The second annual USF Family Day is Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, and the offices of Student Life, Enrollment Services, Athletics and Alumni Relations are gearing up to repeat last year’s awesome experience.

USF students and their families are invited to a full day of exploring USF, from its school deans and faculty to its beautiful campus and buildings to its exciting athletics. Parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and friends of USF students and, of course, USF alumni are invited to participate in the following, and much more.

• Check-In is located at North Campus from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (drive to back of building for main registration area)

Brunch, dinner, and admission to basketball games and Brookside included; all other events free with wristband.  Payable by cash or check, made out to the University of Saint Francis.  Sorry, payment by credit card is not available at this time.

A Meet ’n Greet Brunch with the Deans located at North Campus gymnasium from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Take this opportunity to meet the deans and select faculty from each of the Schools and get a chance to learn more about the programs and the happenings of USF.

• The School of Creative Arts Galleries will be open with special exhibits from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• USF Campus Shoppe is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and located in the Pope John Paul II Center.

• The School of Health Sciences invites all families and alumni to participate in a scavenger hunt throughout the Doermer Health Sciences building beginning at 11 a.m. (until 1 p.m.).  Faculty will be present to assist in your ‘hunt’ and families/alumni will have a chance to win one of two door prizes:  a $50 gift card from USF Campus Shoppe.

• Join the Enrollment Services department in the Social Room from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. to paint wooden toys for Haitian children.

• Self-guided tours of Brookside Mansion from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Take this opportunity to go through the historic gem of the university.

• Campus Ministry sponsored Children's Craft Project from 12:30 p.m. to 4 pm. located in the conference room at the Campus Ministry building.

• Family-friendly activities and competitions, including Family Feud - USF Edition at 1 p.m. in Gunderson Auditorium where families will have a chance at prizes.

• USF Women and Men's basketball teams will take on Grace College at 1 p.m and 3 p.m. respectively. Games are located at the Hutzell Athletic Center. Admission is free with a wristband.

• Student Center will be open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This is a great opportunity to take a break from the action of the day. Come play a friendly game of pool, Wii, foosball, sing Karaoke style or get reenergized by grabbing a snack at the Snack Bar.

• Residence Hall Open House from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Take this opportunity to check out the dorm-life and see the facelift of Bonzel, the high-tech features Clare Hall has to offer or the apartment life of Padua.

• Mass will be from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel (doors located at the west-end of the building)

• Dinner will be from 5 p.m to 6 p.m. located in the North Campus gymnasium (drive to back of building for main gym entrance). Dinner entertainment will showcase USF students.

• Family entertainment by Midwest Dueling Pianos is located in the North Campus auditorium from 6 p.m. to 7p.m.

• Service Collection Project -- Share the Warmth. The University of Saint Francis teams up with the Volunteer Center RSVP to bring a little warmth to the community. Collection bins will be located around campus for donations of hats, scarves, mittens, and gloves. Drop your contribution in one of the bins, drop it off at the Brookside Mansion, or bring it to any of the events listed.
