Alumni & Development

Benefits to Being an Alumnus

Alumni Records

The Alumni Office at the University of Saint Francis maintains the official roster of all alumni and their addresses. If you would like to update your address, please contact the Alumni Office at (260) 399-8051 or by e-mail at alumni@sf.edu.

Publications

The Saint Francis magazine is published two times a year; the Alumni e-Newsletters are sent out approximately six times a year. All alumni receive the magazine free of charge. If you are interested in signing up for the Alumni eNewsletter, it is a simple one-step process. If you are not receiving the publications, please contact the Alumni Office at (260) 399-8051 or by e-mail at alumni@sf.edu.

Career Services

All USF alumni are welcome to take advantage of the benefits offered by the university's Career Services office. The office provides assistance for those who are changing careers, moving up in their present career, or considering graduate school. Resume critique, interview coaching, job search resources and referrals, and the USF Job Opportunities Newsletter, found on the Career Services website are a few of the aids available. If you have any questions about Career Services, please contact William Brune, Director of Career Services, at (260) 399-7700 ext 6070.

In order to view opening career positions, go to the “Career Services website” link. This will take you to a new page where you will see two logins, one for students and one for employers. Please click on the student login box. At this point, you will submit a request to register a new account. Once you fill out the requested information, you will receive notification from Career Services with a login username and password. Whenever you would like to browse for career positions through this NACElink website, you will always click on the “Student Login” box.

Other career services opportunities can be found by joining the USF Alumni Association LinkedIn group in which job positions, helpful career building articles and networking tips are constantly posted. Here you will also find the opportunity to network with other USF Alumni in the professional world.

Meeting Rooms

The University of Saint Francis campus offers many beautiful and unique meeting rooms. The meeting rooms may be used by alumni for business meetings or other approved functions, depending on meeting room availability. The meeting rooms are offered at no cost, however if refreshments are required they must be purchased through the university's food service, AVI Catering. There is a rental charge for using Hutzell Athletic Center, which has limited availability due to the athletic activities that occur there. To obtain information on holding meetings on the USF campus, please contact the Alumni Office at (260) 399-7700 ext 6411 or by e-mail at jswinford@sf.edu.

Lee and Jim Vann Library

To obtain a free alumni library card, stop in at the library located in the Pope John Paul II Center and fill out an application. As an alumnus, you have borrowing privileges from the Lee and Jim Vann Library as well as guest access to the library’s computers.

Discount for Second Degree

All alumni who have earned a bachelor's degree or higher are invited to return to the University of Saint Francis and pursue a Master's degree at a discounted price. To receive information on this discount, please contact the Graduate Office at (260) 399-7700 ext 8400.

Special Events

Throughout the year there are special events held for alumni including Homecoming and the many events connected to it are held in the fall. Alumni are also invited to quarterly networking events held around the Fort Wayne area. Our largest event is the USF Day at the Zoo which is held in late summer. We support our Indianapolis Alumni Chapter with two events annually, usually in August and February, along with two chapter council meetings typically held in May and November. There is also a Great Lakes Region Chapter (formerly known as Merrillville Chapter) for the alumni living in the northwest Indiana area who are invited to two Merrillville events most often held in March and July along with local council meetings thorughout the year. All Alumni are invited to "Christmas at USF," the special holiday event at our Fort Wayne campus usually held in late November and early December. A listing of all events can be found in publications mailed to alumni throughout the year, or viewed on our website. Any alum that wishes to host an alumni-related special event, such as a class reunion, may contact the Alumni Office at (260) 399-8032 or by email at jswinford@sf.edu.
