Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Tour - Thursday, June 10, 2010 leave for tour at conclusion of Plenary Session approximately 10:10 am. Dr. Carl Jylland-Halverson leads a group through a tour of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception home of the Diocese of Fort Wayne - South Bend.
Freshwater Mussel Workshop - Thursday, June 10, 2010 (3:00 - 5:00 pm) Participants will gather and identify shells of native freshwater mussels from the banks of the Saint Joseph River at Johnny Appleseed Park in Fort Wayne under the direction of USF researchers. More than two dozen species are likely to be encountered. An informal outdoor presentation will chronicle the fascinating story of these animals’ ecology, conservation and life-history.
Lindenwood Nature Preserve Tour - Dates and times TBA. Come explore the Lindenwood Nature Preserve located within walking distance of our campus. Dr. Joe Steensma will lead a tour through the preserve as we explore natural Fort Wayne close to home. Please note this tour will require significant walking and ample bug spray.

Lawn Games - Lawn near Student Center. Come enjoy some outdoor ativities with friends and colleagues. A variety of lawn games will be provided throughout the Symposium.
Bicycles - bicycles will be available to Symposium participants by USF's Tour deFrancis Club. Maps of our campus and local greenways will be provided.
