Register for Classes at New Student Orientation
This page has a lot of information about what happens during New Student Orientation. Remember, if you ever have any questions, you are encouraged to call your admissions counselor at 260-399-8000. So, let's get started...
Orientation
We'll mail you an orientaiton sign-up form after we receive your deposit. The earlier you come to orientaiton, the more classes you'll have from which to choose. At orientation, you will...
- Meet one-on-one with a faculty adviser to schedule your first semester classes.
- Take placement tests (if you haven't already).
- Get your picture taken for your USF student ID.
- Get login information for your USF student email account.
- Learn a little bit about orientation, campus housing, financial aid and the bookstore.

Parents and Guests at Orientation
Orientation can take up to four hours. Anyone waiting for a student to finish orientation may come to our informational sessions that cover career services, financial aid, business office, residential and commuter life and academic policies.
Welcome Weekend
Welcome Weekend takes place in August before classes start and all students are required to attend. Tip: Wear comfortable shoes. We'll be taking you around campus to meet faculty, staff and fellow students. We'll answer any of those last-minute questions before school begins. You'll also be introduced to the people, places and programs that make USF unique. More information will be posted here closer to the start of the semster!
Books, Books, Books!
You can buy books in the Campus Shoppe in the lower level of Pope John Paul II Center. Bring your schedule and we'll help you get what you need. You can also purchase your books online.
