Here are answers to questions frequently asked by transfer students. We also have a full FAQ.
When can I register for classes?
Before your first semester at USF, you will attend a New Student Orientation to register for classes. We typically hold seven orientation dates between March and August. You will be mailed a sign-up form after you submit your confirmation fee.
Can I register for classes online?
Starting your second semester, you can register for classes online using My Cougar Connection.
Does acceptance to USF mean I am accepted into my program?
Some majors require additional documentation for acceptance. You will be notified of your program acceptance separately. Acceptance into the university is not dependent upon acceptance to or denial from any specific program.
Can I live on campus?
Transfer students can live on campus. We have traditional, suite and apartment dorms on campus. Our housing policy requires students under the age of 21 to live on campus, unless they live with their parents or guardians.
Can I participate in sports?
All students are welcome to participate in collegiate-level and intramural sports. The University of Saint Francis is part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Our collegiate-level athletics require student to meet eligibility guidelines. To review an outline of the guidelines go to www.playnaia.org. After acceptance and the submission of all official transcripts, your official eligibility will be determined. If you are interested in playing NAIA athletics for the University of Saint Francis, please fill out the athletics recruitment form for your sport and contact the coach.
