Student Life

There’s always something exciting happening on campus. We have an entire department of people devoted to packing your schedule with comedians, ultimate Frisbee competitions, carnivals and music! They also plan trips all around the country, for volunteer mission work or just to have a good time! Plus, with 35 clubs, (from the academic-centered Accounting Association, to the just-for-fun Zumba!) you’re bound to find friends and activities that stimulate you!

We're proud of our student life traditions that keep campus a fun place to be. Students who are involved in student life are more likely to be successful, so while you're looking at univerisities, make sure they have something going on outside of the classroom! Of course, you can always check out our Student Blogs to see what our students say about campus life!

If you’re interested in the options for living on campus, check out Residential Life website. We have apartment, suite and traditional-style dorms available for first-year students.

Student Services

We are student-centered at USF. Every person on campus is here to help you succeed, and these services are just a few of the ways we do it.

Student Academic Support Services (SASS)

All SASS support is free for our students. Free peer-to-peer tutoring, free online tutoring and free advice on getting organized and managing your time. What can we say? We’re here to make our students successful. f you’re worried about your course load, SASS is the place to go.

Office of Career Services

This office helps students understand career options, even when they’re not quite sure where they want to end up! Once you know what you want to do, we also help make sure you get a successful start on your career. We’ll help you write a resume and practice for interviews. This service is also free to USF alumni.

The value of a USF education is in the numbers. In the last survey of our graduates, 94 percent reported being employed or pursuing another degree, and 85 percent reported employment in a field relating to their major.

Commuter Life

We know commuters sometimes miss opportunities to be involved in campus life because they’re not here all the time. Commuter Life exists to make you feel more connected to the campus community. We host activities like free lunch and gas card bingo! We also send out a commuter newsletter that has coupons for campus food venues. Yum!

Lee and Jim Vann Library

Our library is so much more than a place to get books. We provide private study rooms, laptops and digital equipment for checkout, and access to hundreds of research databases. That doesn’t mean we don’t have a fantastic selection of books. However, if you don’t see the book you need, we have an inter-library system that lets you borrow books from around the country. Also, if you’re having trouble figuring out something in the library, you can always text one of our librarians! USF students are also eligible for Allen County Public Library cards.

Student Athletes at USF

All full-time students are welcome to participate in collegiate-level and intramural sports. The University of Saint Francis is part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Our collegiate-level athletics require students to meet eligibility guidelines. To review an outline of the guidelines, go to www.playnaia.org. After acceptance to the university and submission of all official transcripts, your official eligibility will be determined.
