Majors and Academics

Our rigorous academic programs prepare students with personalized attention and a hands-on approach to education. Our faculty members are of the highest caliber, and highly proficient in their disciplines. Most have doctoral degrees and years of experience in their fields. Every USF class is taught by a professor, never other students, as is common in many public institutions. In class, you will find that our faculty demonstrates a deep commitment to each student, providing individualized support to help you grow and succeed.

Undecided?

If you are undecided about your major, USF is a great place to attend. Our Academic Explorations program allows you to sample different fields to find what suits you best. And, with our general education curriculum, you can be sure you will build a core of knowledge and skills that will serve you well, no matter what field you choose.

Honors Program

We also have an honors program that allows our high-achieving students to dive a little deeper into their academics. If you're interested in our honors program, let us know!

Dual Accept Programs

The University of Saint Francis offers five dual-accept programs for students who know they want to enter into a healthcare field that requires more than a bachelor’s degree.

Pre-Physician Assistant, Pre-Osteopathic Medicine, Pre-Chiropractic, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Physical Therapist

Dual-accept programs mean that, with one application, high school seniors will be accepted into the graduate-level program required to practice these types of healthcare. Our senior college students in dual-accept programs don’t have to worry about medical school applications during finals, because they already know they’ve been accepted! Students must complete the application materials during their senior year of high school (deadlines vary by program). To keep their seats in the graduate programs, they have to meet certain GPA requirements and adhere to specific curriculum guidelines.
