Admissions Requirements
High School Students
High school students wishing to be directly admitted to the university must meet the criteria listed below. Please keep in mind that, as a Franciscan institution, we believe education should be available to everybody. All interested students are encouraged to apply online.
- Earn a 2.3 GPA on a 4 point scale.
- Earn a combined SAT score of 1000+ on the reading and math sections or earn
an ACT composite score of 21+. - Submit an essay.
Adult Candidates
Submit your high school transcripts and/or your GED scores (not the diploma). Some people worry about getting high school transcripts if they didn't graduate recently. It doesn't matter when you graduated, your school will still have your transcripts. If your high school no longer exists, you can contact the school corporation.
- Earn a 2.3 GPA on a 4 point scale.
Students who fall short of USF criteria will be required to submit an admissions essay. If you have questions about your eligibility, please call us. Your admissions counselor can guide you through the application process.
Transfer Students
Transferring doesn't have to be a difficult process. We have admissions counselors who are specially trained to help transfer students. USF is also one of the few schools that offer academic scholarships to transfer students.
