Nobody Told Me...
- That
popcorn tastes so good so many nights in one
week.
- That
an alarm clock is a necessity.
- That
I will pray my mailbox had mail in it everyday.
- That
there’s more to college and learning than
classes.
- That
food service really does try to cook meals like
I had at home.
- That
there is a person called an R.A. who knows
what’s going on and who can answer most of my
questions.
- That
I can get involved in Hall Council and be a part
of planning so many events.
- That
I don’t have to make my bed everyday if I
don’t want to.
- That
I have to dial 9 to call off campus.
- That
the residence halls provide laundry rooms and
soda and candy machines.
- That
I’ll learn to budget my time and energy.
- That
roommates are the greatest people in the world.
- That
there is a person called a Hall Director in
every residence hall who can answer any
questions that my R.A. can’t.
- That
I don’t have to sit in my room the first
couple of days just because I don’t know
anyone or where anything is.
- That
it will take hours to get everything put away
and then it will take even more hours to find
them again.
- That
I can make so many friends.
- That
my residence hall will feel like home when I
become involved in hall activities, make new
friends, and take advantage of all that
residence halls have to offer.
