Physical Plant Mission Statement
 
To assist in the process of providing students with a quality
education through the promotion, implementation and
maintenance of facilities and policies that provide a safe,
clean, comfortable and aesthetic environment.

Physical Plant includes the following five departments:

• Maintenance & Repair
• Grounds
• Custodial
• Security
• Copying Center

The University of Saint Francis is spread out over 72 acres, including a seven acre lake. In addition to nineteen buildings containing over 320,000 square feet of space, there are over 2,500 square feet of walks, over 5,000 square feet of drives, and parking lots with the capacity to house over 750 vehicles.
 
The Physical Plant department is located in the basement area of Trinity Hall, directly beneath the Food Service area. Our main office number is 434-3225.
 
This department attempts to cover all work necessary in maintaining the proper operation and cleanliness of the campus, and the safety of persons and property, on a scheduled basis, in keeping with our allowable budget and personnel. The workload of the department is designed to utilize each and every hour a member of the department is on duty. The department does not normally maintain standby personnel, but if an emergency arises, personnel will be called from routinely scheduled work. It is highly desirable to anticipate needs in advance to effect the most efficient understanding, planning and completion of work.
