Campus Security

Security Office, Building 12 (located behind Bass Mansion), 434-3222

The University of Saint Francis employs security personnel 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, as part of its commitment to ensuring a safe, secure environment for students and staff to live, learn and work.

The primary function of security personnel is to protect the persons and property of the campus community by patrolling the buildings and grounds and responding to emergency situations. In the performance of this duty, an officer will be available to escort students (call extension 3222), provide information for visitors, maintain parking lot safety, and enforce traffic regulations. Other responsibilities include responding to medical emergencies, conducting monthly fire drills and helping to maintain workplace safety.

At the University of Saint Francis the campus community members share in the responsibility for personal safety and the prevention of crime. Students can reduce the chances of becoming a victim by taking steps such as always walking with a partner after dark, properly securing valuables and by contacting a security officer to report any suspicious persons or activities.

Should you become a victim of a crime, it is important that you report the incident immediately to security, or in the case of resident students, to a member of the housing staff.
