University of Saint Francis Hosts
Speaker on Liberal Arts Education
February 8, 2008, Fort Wayne,
Indiana: Dr. Paul Ranieri will be presenting on “The
Importance of a Liberal Arts Education” on February 25
at 6:30 p.m. in the Bass Mansion at the University of
Saint Francis. Dr. Ranieri is a Professor of English at
Ball State University and serves as Executive Director
for the Association for General and Liberal Studies.
Dr. Ranieri describes himself as a
generalist, though his specific training is in
first-year writing, cognitive development and classical
rhetorical theory. He received a BA from Xavier
University, a Master’s of Arts in Teaching from Trinity
University and a doctorate in English Education and
Rhetoric from the University of Texas at Austin.
