USF Nursing Students Run for National Student Nursing Association Office
March 13, 2008, Fort Wayne, Indiana:
Jenna Sanders and Grant Tyler, both senior BSN students
at the University of Saint Francis, are running for
national office in the National Student Nurses
Association (NSNA). Jenna is running for president of
the organization, and Grant seeks the position of NSNA
Director North.
In her time with the NSNA, Jenna
has served as vice president of the organization, as
well as on numerous committees and councils, often
serving as chair of the committee. Jenna has also been
involved at both the local and state level of these
student nurse organizations. She maintains an overall
GPA above 3.9, as well as raising her three children
while attending class. Jenna plans to become a Certified
Nurse Midwife and obtain her master’s degree in nursing
after graduation.
Grant is currently serving as the
president of the Indiana Student Nurses Association, as
well as being elected as the northern representative of
the Council of State Presidents in NSNA. He also serves
as the treasurer of the University of Saint Francis
Student Nurses Association. Grant has also served as the
Coordinator of Hospital Disaster Preparation and
Responses at Dupont Hospital.
