The University of Saint Francis Hosts Talk By Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

November 6, 2007, Fort Wayne, Indiana: The Department of Biology at the University of Saint Francis will host Dr. Karen Nichols, who will deliver a lecture on “The Philosophy of Osteopathic Medicine” on Friday, November 16 at noon in Gunderson Auditorium at Achatz Hall off Leesburg Road.

Dr. Nichols holds a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and is currently Dean of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine on Midwestern University’s Downers Grove, Illinois campus. Dr. Nichols also serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Osteopathic Association and is the founding chair of AOA End of Life Care committee. She has 17 years of private practice experience in Mesa, Arizona and has served as Assistant Dean of Post-Doctoral Education at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.
