Searching tips

How do I find the articles that are right for me and my research?

To find articles of a scholarly nature, use a database that indexes scholarly articles, such as:

  •         Psych Info

  •         Medline

  •         Business Source Premier

  •         ERIC

To find articles from a Professional/Trade or Popular journal, use a database such as:

  •         Academic Search Elite

  •         MAS Fulltext Ultra

  •         Master FILE Premier

Once you have done your search and collected your journal citations, it is time to find the journals that you need.  Let's look at how we would apply the Key Elements that we talked about on the previous page to decide what type of journals we have found.
