Ask A Librarian
Librarians are generally
available to meet with you between the hours of 8 a.m.
and 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. through 5
p.m. on Fridays, and 12 noon through 8 p.m. Sundays. No
text services are available on Saturday.
To meet with a librarian,
stop at the main circulation desk and ask to speak to a
librarian. No appointment is necessary. The main
circulation desk is located on the 2nd floor of the library.

Text messages will be responded to as soon as possible.
Staff are available to answer text messages:

This service is ideal for simple questions that require
brief answers. Please use the phone or email contacts
for in-depth questions.
Replies will be sent as
text messages from our phone (we use an Apple iPhone to
provide this service). Concise responses may include
abbreviations and common shorthand. If longer responses
are necessary, we may need to follow-up via email, phone
or in-person.
Text messaging reference
is a service provided by Lee and Jim Vann Library free
of charge. Your cell phone service providers may charge
for sent or received text messages. By sending a text
message to this Library service, you give permission to
Vann Library to reply to your text message.
