Description: ERIC, the Educational Resource Information Center, provides access to education literature and resources. The database provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. ERIC provides full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1,000 educational and education-related journals.

The user can search ERIC using a basic or advanced keyword search by title, author, descriptor, ERIC #, journal name, identifiers, ISSN, ISBN, source institution, or sponsoring agency. Limiters include full text, date, and publication type. The user may search ERIC using the Thesaurus tab to browse a list of ERIC descriptors alphabetically or by entering search terms. Search terms may be narrowed by selecting relevant terms and clicking the start search button to add the desired term to an ERIC search.

Please note that the most current and detailed information for any database can be found by going directly to the database itself. More information can usually be found in the "ABOUT" or "HELP" sections of most databases.
