Program Description

Getting a job after completing college is important! University of Saint Francis PTA Program graduates have been successful in securing employment positions to meet their needs related to geographic location, health care setting and schedule. Salaries for the new graduates, in all cases, exceeded salary predictions published in Program Information materials.

Students experience a high rate of success in the program. Having well qualified candidates in the applicant pool has resulted in admission of students who have proven previous academic and personal success. Additionally, students with emerging skills are reviewed for admission using testing scores on the PSB rather than the SAT or ACT.

Applicants accepted into the program are very committed. Students progressing through the rigorous four semester curriculum have access to excellent educational and clinical resources and a complement of faculty who are enthusiastic, qualified and dedicated. The students, faculty and graduates of the Program are respected in the professional community.

The PTA Program at the University of Saint Francis offers an Associate of Science Degree that, in itself, allows the graduate to pursue certification, employment and job satisfaction. However, The Program's and University's commitment to lifelong learning is demonstrated in many ways.

The PTA Program Faculty assist USF in sponsoring excellent continuing education opportunities to physical therapy practitioners in the region. Also, the University has completed an articulation agreement for graduates of the University of Saint Francis PTA Program with the University of Findlay (Ohio) and with Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. These institutes have accredited Physical Therapy Education Programs in physical therapist education.

We are interested in talking to you about your plans and whether or not the University of Saint Francis Physical Therapist Assistant Program may be in your future!
