Most scholarship,
grant and loan funds are applied directly to
charges for tuition and fees
unless otherwise specified by the donor or agency
providing the funds. Institutional, federal,
state, and most private aid is divided evenly
between fall and spring semesters and is credited
to each semester's billing. Awards exceeding the
charges listed on each semester's bill may be used
for education-related expenses such as books,
transportation, personal, and other living expenses.
Financial Aid is
applied to each student's account in the following
manner:
1. Federal grants.
2. State grants
and scholarships.
3. Institutional funds.
4. Scholarships and grants from outside agencies
and private sources.
5. Student and parent loans.
In the event a
student receives tuition-only designated funds,
which exceed the student's actual tuition costs,
these awards will be reduced.
Federal Work Study is not applied to the student's
account, rather it is paid in the form of a check to the
student every 2 weeks for hours worked. At the
beginning of each semester, a job fair is conducted for
students with Federal Work Study eligibility to attend
and explore positions available on campus. For
