Helping the Easter Bunny Visit SCAN Families
The University of Saint Francis will participate in the annual Easter Basket Drive hosted by the Northeast Indiana Alumni Directors Consortium (NIADC). The March 1-28 drive will collect Easter baskets from 10 area colleges and universities, including USF, and donate them to SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect). SCAN is a not-for-profit organization aimed at eliminating child abuse by "preparing parents and protecting children." Established in 1974, SCAN serves 13 counties in northern Indiana, including Allen County.
Last year, more than 1,700 Easter baskets were collected and distributed to the families SCAN serves. The goal this March is to collect 2,000 wrapped Easter baskets, which the Alumni Directors will deliver to SCAN March 29. Baskets may be dropped off at the University of Saint Francis, IPFW, Ivy Tech, Trine, Huntington, Manchester, Grace, or Indiana Wesleyan. For more information, contact Director of Alumni Relations at the drop off location nearest you.
