INDIANAPOLIS, IN-- The University of Saint Francis men's track
team finished eighth out of 19 teams at the annual Little
State meet hosted at IUPUI. The women's team finished
14th out of 18 teams.
Leading
the way for the Cougars was senior Adam Longsworth who won the

of 168-04 and second in the shot put with a mark of 51-05.
"Adam
had a tough day on Friday, " said Coach Sarah Thrall.
"He goes 168 in the discus to take the lead, then John Bowman
from IWU comes back with a 177. Then he went to the shot
where he really had some problems, but he was able put it
behind him and come back out on Saturday and win the hammer."
Another
senior Bart Williams just missed the finals in the shot and
hammer, but still threw well as he finished 11th in both
events with throws of 43-08 (shot) and 138-09(hammer).

"I was
very happy with how we competed this weekend, " Coach Thrall
added. "The weather wasn't great, but we were still able
to get some good results out of people."
Next
week the Cougars will compete in the Spartan Classic at
Manchester College.
