UPLAND, Ind. --
The University of Saint Francis track teams had some strong
performances as they competed at the Taylor University
Invitational. Freshman Dustin Wilson placed 5th in the
400 meter dash with a time of 53.75. Also helping lead the
way was senior Bart Williams who had a sixth place finish in
the weight with a throw of 47-01. Williams also placed
ninth in the shot at 44-09.
Freshman Alex Bush ran a PR in
the mile with a 4:45 which gave him a 6th place finish and
Matt Truttling was another highlight on the day as he
finished 8th in the shot put with a 44-10 throw.
On the women's side Lisa Marie
Setnicker ran her PR in the 400 with a time of 1:06.65 to
place 9th in the event. She also placed 12th in the
long jump at 14-10.5. In her first year of throwing
the weight, freshman Jean Marqueling placed 7th with a throw
of 42-02. Marqueling finished 14th in the shot with a
toss of 33-01.
USF will be back in action next
Saturday as they travel to Indiana Wesleyan.
