ANDERSON,
Ind. -- The University of Saint Francis men's
track and field team scored in five events and compiled a
season-high 56 points to place fifth out of seven teams in the
Anderson Invitation on Saturday.
The Lady Cougars, led by
double winner Alex Hornstein, also scored a season-high 42
points but finished fifth out of five teams. USF scored in six
events led by Hornstein, who won the 200 and 400. Lisa Marie
Setnicker scored in three events -- the 100, 200, long jump.
Adam Longsworth was a double
winner in the shot put and discus. He placed third in the
hammer. Josh Whitfield picked up points for the Cougars in the
100 and 200 while freshman Jeremy Wolley earned points in the
shot put and discus.
“Lisa Marie
had a really good day as she set PR’s in all three of her
events," USF Sarah Thrall reported. "Both Alex and Jon (Exner)
are running really well right now and Jeremy Wolley had a
great day in the shot and discus.”
