DEFIANCE, Ohio
-- Adam Longsworth won a pair of events and Brandi
Gangloff secured a second-place finish for the University of
Saint Francis in its first outdoor track and field competition
of 2006.
Longsworth won the
shot put and the discus to score 20 of the Cougars' 32 points
for an eighth place finish out of 14 teams. Other point
earners for the USF men included Jeremy Wolley with a third in
the discus and Bart Williams with a fourth in the shot put.
Jon Exner delivered a PR in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Gangloff accounted for
eight points with her second-place finish in the hammer throw.
Aleandra Hornstein helped the Lady Cougars to finish ninth out
of 12 teams with 25 points on the women's side. Hornstein
finished third in the 400-meter dash and sixth in the
200-meter dash. Tiffany Bremer ran a PR in the 5,000-meter run
with a 21 minute, 25.32 second effort.
