CITY, Tenn. -- Adam Longsworth
qualified for the 35-pound
weight throw entering competition with the 17th best throw in
the nation out of 30 competitors, but fouled on all three
preliminary throws in the NAIA National Indoor Championships.
His qualifying distance was 52 feet, 3 1/4 inches.
Alexandra Hornstein
qualified in the 800-meter run and posted a PR at 2:22.23 in
the preliminaries. She had qualified with the 17th best time
at 2:22.8 out of 23 qualifiers.
Longsworth will
compete today (Sat., March 11) in the shot put this afternoon.
He comes in with the 24th best distance at 49 feet, 11 inches.
